There is no such thing as too much space nowadays regardless of whether you are in Calgary or somewhere else. What many people don’t realize is that they have the ability to create more space in those little used areas without taking away from the decor. Throughout their work home inspectors have seen all kinds of ways to make space.
The first thing is to get storage containers for those seasonal, and rarely used items. Be certain that the boxes are labeled for easy identification. These containers can be stuck in areas such as garages, basements, or short attics. There are even containers that can be put under the bed.
Next, put up shelving in those usually little used areas such as corners or walls over counters. These shelves allow for more space usage.
There are lots of space saver items such as can dispensers which can also organize your home without detracting from the decor. Cubby spaces in the closets or cabinets can also allow for more organization.
