Regardless of whether you have pets or children you want to ensure their safety. Home owners in Calgary and around the world are always looking for ways to pet or baby proof their home. Home inspectors have seen all manners of baby and pet safety proofing. Every part of the house has its own dangers so it is important to not generalize proofing.
Living rooms, bedrooms, and dens have many electrical items such as televisions, game stations, phones, computers, and so on. Try covering wires so that your pet won’t chew on them, and your baby won’t pull on them. Keep small items stored away when they are not being used. Keep vents covered, and cabinets or drawers shut and secure so they won’t trap animals and babies.
Kitchens, bathrooms, and garages have poisons and other dangers. Although children and pets shouldn’t be in these rooms without supervision parents and owners can’t be awake all the time. Plus, kids and pets can be pretty slick when they want to be. Secure cabinets with latches which will make it harder to get into. Keep chemicals and other harmful tools put away where they cannot be reached.

If you are worried about whether something is safe for your child or animal then do some research. If you are still unsure whether you got everything try bringing in someone who knows more about safety. Remember there is no limit on safety!
